It's been forever and a day since I've added a post. Big changes are coming. Jenn and I have bought a house. We have purchased a Quadrant home in their Kentlake Highlands division, new construction, and as such, we get to argue about all the little customizations we want. Its been a fun process, and our final date to make selections is May 19th. After that date, our selections are locked, and construction begins about 2 weeks after that. The house should be completed late August or early September. Just soon enough to get that $8000 credit from uncle Sam. To help pay the 3.5% down payment, Quadrant agreed to a payment plan during construction, and so long as we have the full down payment by completion of construction, we're fine. The payment plan involves paying Quadrant ~$2000/mo beginning in June, which is perfect since we'll no longer have rent to pay.
The lease on our current apartment is up at the end of May, and instead of going month to month, my parents have agreed to let us stay there for a few months. And on that note, it also means big changes to this site. Since I currently run this site on my own server at home, I'll need to arrange for some way to host the site elsewhere. It may involve setting it up at my parents house using some dynamic DNS service, or finding a free host to hold a parking page. I think I have email figured out. I need Exchange based email services for both my phone and Jenn's since we use ActiveSync push for contacts, calendar, and email, and I think I can get that for free through work. Hopefully I'll be able to figure out a way to keep this site online. Seems a lot of people use the instructions I have for getting x64 Windows install disks working on older Macs.
A home that will actually be mine(ours? <3 you Jenn). It has been a dream of mine for a while, and it is nice to finally see things work out to that end!
